Harker's professional status
[edit]How could he have played on the olympic squad in 1936, if he was a pro by 1932? amateurism was strictly enforced at that time by the olympics.Toyokuni3 (talk) 22:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- He wasn't a professional in 1932. I don't know, but he may never have played "professionally". The second American Soccer League was semi-professional. While some guys were paid, most players received small amounts on game day for personal expenses. At the time FIFA did not consider that professional. Mohrflies (talk) 03:59, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
