I have removed mention that Sir Alan is KCB. In my edit summary I said he was a Baronet. That is incorrect. He is a Knight Bachelor, so the KCB still goes. Can anyone add when he was made a Knight to the article? --Bduke 23:13, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
