Vandalism[edit]

Who knows what's going on? Why is this stub getting vandalised? PirateArgh!!1! 21:17, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because with only a couple of months left before the movie would come out, with trailers already having come out and excitement building fast, he moved the Harry Potter release a year back.
And the hilarious part is that he basically admitted in his press release that this was done to make more money. From an MSNBC article:
The move was made to take advantage of an open weekend in Hollywood’s busy summer season, said Alan Horn, Warner Bros. president and chief operating officer. The film had been on schedule, and the change was not due to any production snags, he said.
“The picture is completely, absolutely, 100 percent on schedule, on time. There were no delays,” Horn told The Associated Press. “I’ve seen the movie. It is fabulous. We would have been perfectly able to have it out in November.”
He's probably the most hated man in film right now.

Retirement?[edit]

I note that the article (and cited source) state 'Horn's contract will run until he is 75 years old', another source found from a cursory Google states his contract was extended in 2014 for another four years, 'until 2018'. Given that he is now 75, and it is 2018, is there any information available regarding his retirement?219.88.68.195 (talk) 23:10, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
