Discussion about Role in McLaren[edit]

With respect to :
"He then rose to be what would now be called the technical director of the team."
Reading the Reference given this is his opinion of his Role.

Given that Wikpedia isn't about opinion and that one of the senior Design Personnel listed ( namely Gordon Coppuck ) would more accurately fit the Role description of a Technical Director shouldn't the above statement be clarified as his opinion or edited to reflect the published data?
