Looking for helping editing, re-arranging, expanding[edit]

I'm trying to take this article at least from start-class to Good Article, but there's a long, long way to go. I moved the CPUSA section, but I'm still unsatisfied with its placement - it didn't belong at the end, as it's before his blacklisting, but it doesn't fit well where I've placed it — it didn't make sense to put it smack in the middle of his career, and yet now, it's still out of chronological order by preceding all info about his short fiction, novels, plays, and screenwriting from 1930s to 1947 ostracism.

Also, there's presently not much about his personal life in the body of the article, and absolutely nothing there about his death. Furthermore, while I've added a bit more secondary-source info about his conflicts with CPUSA (references to and quotes from a 2013 analysis, or at least its abstract), it's in the jargon of the field and thus impenetrable to those of us not specializing in Marxist/critical theory. Someone out there want to simplify it a bit/give it context for the rest of us? Lawikitejana (talk) 22:26, 24 October 2019 (UTC) P.S. I re-classified it as mid-importance within the filmbio group because the Hollywood 10 are a relatively big deal on many levels within film history. Left it alone within US history because its importance to the overall US history project (as opposed to some subproject) probably is fairly low. Found a piece from 1939 indicating he was expected to attend the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, but am not sure how/where/whether to work it in without weakening the structure of the paragraph where it would fit most logically.Lawikitejana (talk) 02:02, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
