Name

True, De Gasperi is nowadays the most known spelling, but on his birth certificate read Degasperi, and he always signed himself such. De Gasperi came en vogue after WWII, when propagandists thought it more laudatory to write his name in a more "aristocratic" way. For a sample of his autograph, see: this letter to Ferruccio Parri. I think it should at least be mentioned in the article. --Tridentinus 13:39, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

"Tirol"

I have corrected the name "Tirol" as the region where De Gasperi was born. In fact, the "Trentino" (I don't think there's an english name) was and is an Italian-language region, instead of Tirol, which is Austrian.

At the time when he was born, Trentino was part of the land Tirol. This part hd the name "Welsch-Tirol".06:33, 2 November 2010 (UTC)178.203.6.76 (talk)

Image:Time DeGasperi.jpg

I do not believe that Image:Time DeGasperi.jpg is a fair use image in this article. It is marginally a fair-use image in Italian general election, 1948, although using the photo in that article without a similar photo from "the other side" introduced a thousand words' worth of POV. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 01:39, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Moving section on social security reforms

I moved the section about social security reforms to a separate article Social security reforms under Alcide De Gasperi. The reason is that the very detailed, not interlinked, and long list does not really contribute to a better understanding of the person De Gasperi. These reforms were performed by ministers in his cabinet from different parties and not necessarily by De Gasperi himself. In a separate article people nevertheless can check the reforms. - DonCalo (talk) 11:12, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
