Note: pages with content are ineligible as "new" page titles in a move request unless they, too, are proposed to be renamed. In this case Aleppo Township, PennsylvaniaAleppo Township, Pennsylvania (disambiguation) had to be added to this request.--estar8806 (talk) 03:01, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - For the same reason as stated above. The renaming proposal appears to indicate planned removals of county disambiguators when there is only one township with a specific name within the same state. This should not apply in this case because there are at least two townships in Pennsylvania that use this name and are in different counties. Deleting the county name from Aleppo Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania to create something shorter would only confuse readers. Please don't do this. - 47thPennVols (talk) 01:45, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. As noted, there are multiple Aleppo Townships in Pennsylvania so disambiguation is unavoidable. However, even if there was only one Aleppo Township in the state, removing the county name would still be inadvisable, partly because I just don't see that reliable sources commonly refer to townships without reference to the county. Even the official website for the township titles its homepage "Aleppo Township, Allegheny County, PA", gives its contact info as "Township of Aleppo, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania", etc. ╠╣uw [talk]
