Copyvio?[edit]

User:24.147.103.146 Blanked page, claiming copyright infringement to www.whiteyworld.com. I can find no such infringement from that site, so I am restoring the previous version.

If you can provide a more specific source for the alleged infringement please do, otherwise please do not blank wikipedia articles. -Lanoitarus 04:54, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've rewritten the article from scratch, that should take care of it. --Michael Snow 01:05, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New image[edit]

The new image [1] is not valid fair use; TV screen shots can only be used for identification or critical commentary of the tv station or program, not for identification of people. Furthermore, a fair use image cannot replace a similar Public Domain image. -Lanoitarus (talk) .:. 07:08, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other actor pages use copyrighted screenshots, for example see Jim Carrey. The current picture is not a good picture because it is not one that people who know of Alex Rocco (i.e. seen him in the Godfather and other movies), recognize. Furthermore, it instills a POV. While he was questioned for the murder, he was never charged, and the picture makes it look like he was charged. I will note this on the picture deletion page, and update the photo in a couple of days. -- Jeff3000 02:03, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I feel that Alex Rocco should not be portrayed in a negative light. The photo should be changed to one where he plays the character of Moe Greene in the Godfather. - Zarbon

Winter Hill Gang[edit]

Why no mention of this ? 98.118.62.140 (talk) 17:35, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Winter Hill material was previously in the article. It's been restored w/ (hopefully) better writing. I'm going to contact the original redactor and strongly request that the material be left in place. Tapered (talk) 05:23, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Very quick update (-: Redactor retired!Tapered (talk) 05:26, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wow[edit]

Will be working on a copy edit over the next couple of days; the writing in this article is an absolute mess.PacificBoy 05:03, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

This article was updated to indicate that Rocco had died, and I found one unreliable source making that claim. Until we have reliable sources reporting this, we should not be claiming that he has died. Better to be a few hours out of date than to risk participating in a death hoax. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:04, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, his daughter is reporting his death; that should suffice. --Nat Gertler (talk) 15:13, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
He appeared in a music video centering on grief and death at Devon Gundry - "Armed" which might be interesting to mention. --Smkolins (talk) 23:01, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A possible ref noting details of history and interests - Actor Alex Rocco says he's indebted to Bahai teachings by Marilyn Beck, The San Bernardino County Sun (San Bernardino, California)11 Sep 1975, Page 39 --Smkolins (talk) 11:52, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A 43 min production centered on Alex talking about the religion. I don't have production notes through - see Introduction to the Baha'i Faith featuring Alex Rocco, posted by Joel Smith]. --Smkolins (talk) 16:14, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sort key for DEFAULTSORT and listas= parameters[edit]

The sort key used for this article is "Rocco, Alex" Although this person was born "Alessandro Federico Petricone Jr.", he has adopted the professional alias of "Alex Rocco" and these names have been used in multiple sources as if these names represented his first and last names respectively. Applying the name sorting guidelines, this article is sorted by last name first, rather than the article title, to collate the article appropriately in categories. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:10, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
