Utilizing Alexa rank on other pages

Alexa rankings on other pages vary with respect to the symbol used. Should a page move closer to 1 in Alexa's rank should it be displayed as: Increase 24, or Positive decrease 24? I would assume the latter is more accurate since sites work their way towards the bottom (decrease). However, some of the biggest pages in the top 10 on Wikipedia utilize the {{increase}} instead of {{decreasepositive}} symbols. Semmendinger (talk) 15:51, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

That would be tricky. I would assume that since the symbol is referring to the numeric rank, the decrease symbol would be more appropriate. Joshualouie711talk 15:17, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
I know it's an old discussion but I disagree with the above. It's common in "league tables" (think football) to show a "moving-up" symbol when an entry (like a team) moves "up" to a lower number. -- BarToloCelona (talk) 14:52, 26 December 2019 (UTC)
