Football Program

[edit]

The past 2 years have been competitors in the city, and last year achieved the best record in their history of the school.

POV

[edit]

"Hamilton High is a very unique campus. There is no average student, students are represented from all walks of life. It is not a typical campus of the "in" and "out" crowd. There is a place for every type of student."

This sentence is obviously p.o.v. It should be deleted. Generalhoneypot 01:51, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

yeah, that one sentence may be altered or deleted. Sounds o.k. to do so.

also, I think it is a good idea to merge the "music academy of hamilton" article with the main "hamilton high school" article, because they are actually on the same campus. I know this because I attended there.

Fair use rationale for Image:Hamilton Alex.jpg

[edit]

Image:Hamilton Alex.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge Academy of Music

[edit]

Yes, merge. Though it has somewhat of a separate identity, it is an integral part of Hamilton and really does not stand on its own — either at the school or here in Wikipedia. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 06:29, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, merge. But the Music Academy section requires a good deal of cleanup, and care to avoid duplication.
Cheers. --AndersW (talk) 21:20, 18 September 2008 (UTC) (Hamilton 1962)[reply]

I completely agree with merging. the academy is slightly different, but really, everyone together forms what Hamilton really is. In addition, the information on the Hamilton page relates to the Music Academy as well, so the two should not be seperated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.214.6.26 (talk) 22:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alumni

[edit]

I'm beginning a drive to find sources for all the alumni listed in this article. Where the connection is doubtful, I am deleting the reference. If it seems OK, I am retaining the listing but asking for a source. If the main WP article on the subject already has a source, I am not including it here. Hope you will all join in. Sincerely, GeorgeLouis (talk) 03:34, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Extra-Curricular

[edit]

The Extra Curricular offered at Hamilton High vary from different sports (such as Basketball, Football, Swim, Golf, Volleyball, Soccer, etc.) to numerous clubs (like the Korean Club, LaSO club, Lakers Club, Jewish Club, etc) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.108.85.135 (talk) 05:11, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Our mascot is not Ol Faithful

[edit]

Our mascot is "Alex" and has traditionally been represented by a drawing of a man in colonial dress. Not sure where the Ol Faithful thing came from but you have only to look all over the campus to see "Alex" and he is represented in most of the yearbooks. I am a graduate, class of 86. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HamiBC (talkcontribs) 04:31, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
