February 27, 2012 separate trade or with Kassian?
[edit]Orlandkurtenbach, the link that both of us used (http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=619370) is from the Associated Press, posted on NHL.com. It starts by stating: "The Buffalo Sabres have acquired rookie center Cody Hodgson in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for rookie forward Zack Kassian. As part of the deal, the teams also traded defenseman with Buffalo sending Marc-Andre Gragnani to Vancouver in exchange for Alexander Sulzer." A deal could contain two separate trades. The YouTube link I also included , "Making the Official Call: Trading of Cody Hodgson to Buffalo Sabres - 2/27/12" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WVrC0nScsU), speaks about "...the contract of the player you are acquiring." at ~ the 24 second mark. Also listen earlier to Laurence Gilman, the Assistant General Manager for the Canucks, at ~ the 17 second mark: "Vancouver trades player Cody Hodgson to Buffalo in exchange for Zack Kassian." Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier's February 27, 2012 Press Conference (http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=619393) seems to imply they are separate trades (1:14 and 2:20 marks). NHL TRADE DEADLINE, "2012 Trade Deadline Day Chat with NHL.com and NHL Network analysts" (http://www.nhl.com/ice/eventhome.htm?location=/deadline/2012/experience), lists them as separate trades and includes the same "Making the Official Call..." video. Do you have another NHL link (official?) that shows all four players traded together? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.6.188.79 (talk) 09:48, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
