Title[edit]

shouldn't the title disambiguate using his profession rather than political opinions? i've seen disambiguations like "Republican Senator", but using just political opinions it's novel to me.Anonimu (talk) 12:42, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I for one tend to agree, but what exactly was his profession? I mean, he was an economist of sorts (in the larger sense, at least), but was he one by training? And how much of his notoriety is tied to that, as opposed to him being, I don't know, a regional party leader (for two parties in a row), a deputy minister, a political prisoner? And that's before I start thinking about the purposes of this disambig: consider that the Alexandru Iacob we have the article on is a footballer you're likely to have never read about, ever, who's stuck with Steaua's second squad, and who most likely doesn't even meet even the generous notability standard for footballers... Even if we're supposed to keep that absurdity, can't we make this guy the Alexandru Iacob, and that guy the "Alexandru Iacob (footballer)". That would solve both our problems elegantly. Probably "politician" would cover it. As for your suggestion, i'm down with that. Anonimu (talk) 13:32, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any objection against making this the main "Alexandru Iacob", and have the footballer disambiguated? If not I will make the change by 1st of July (I may have to contact an admin if I remember well). Anonimu (talk) 20:41, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
...or forever hold their peace. I say go for it. Dahn (talk) 20:43, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
yup, we need an admin for the job. Do you happen to know one who could do the move? Anonimu (talk) 14:47, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Bogdan is my go-to guy for these things, but where is he? In any case, I think any admin will do. Dahn (talk) 19:49, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
