Wrong Link - Wrong Alfred Loomis[edit]

This Wikipedia article on Alfred Loomis (sailor) is linked to a 1958 article in American Heritage Magazine which is cited on a reference in a Wikipedia article on The America's Cup [Cup]. That American Heritage article was actually written by a DIFFERENT Alfred Loomis. The true author of said article was Alfred Fullerton Loomis, who lived 1890 Aug 23 to 1968 Mar 26.

The article is found here Ah your majesty there is no second, with a link to a short bio about him here 1958 AFL bio, the full text of which is: "Alfred F. Loomis, associate editor of Yachting magazine and of the English publication Yachts and Yachting, has been writing about sailing since 1912. Among his many books are Ocean Racing and (with Herbert L. Stone) Millions for Defense, a history of the America’s Cup."
