Family

[edit]

This article specifically mentions its subject's parents and ancestors, but doesn't name a single one of them (except Eli Whitney). Who were his parents? Were there siblings? --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 15:41, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

During World War II

[edit]

Most of this page seems to come from http://www.griswoldfamily.org/alfred_whitney_griswold.htm. I just added a missing clause from that page, for the sake of consistency. But clearly this is not an authoritative source of info on this major figure in the history of US higher ed. I will seek better sources. Jperrylsu (talk) 23:04, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yale professors

[edit]

There is not only a Griswold Professor of History at Yale, but also one for Economics (e.g. William Nordhaus in the Nineties). Unfortunately, there is no List of Professorships at Yale University (yet). As a non-native of the US, this is all Greek to me ... --Kolya (talk) 16:59, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
