Story tag[edit]

Some of the wording in the history section is not in an encyclopedic tone and should be rewritten. For example the phrase "born out of one parent's concern" seems unusually dramatic for an encyclopedia. Also, the sentence beginning "In 1982, Bob Moses was invited by Mary Lou Mehrling..." seems like an unnecessary detail and adds a narrative-like quality to the text. Wikipedia articles should give the facts and let them speak for themselves rather than rely on added color and dramatic details.--RDBury (talk) 18:53, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS. Please see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, specifically the section Impartial tone for more information.--RDBury (talk) 19:00, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citations needed[edit]

"By 2001, the Algebra Project had trained approximately 300 teachers and was reaching 10,000 students in 28 locations in 10 states." I found a citation for part of this statement (numbers of teachers, students, and locations) but left citation needed tag, because the news article cited did not have information about the number of states.
