... that Alice Kuperjanov (pictured) was an important figure in founding the Estonian women's movement, and the founding of Estonia as a country?https://www.naiskodukaitse.ee/Alice_Kuperjanov_120_2451

- Hook too vague (t · c) buidhe 08:21, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: I reworked it. --evrik (talk) 18:11, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- Not any better "important figure" is far too vague. Concrete hooks are less opinion based and more interesting to readers. (t · c) buidhe 23:22, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- I'm trying to stick with what the sources say. Have any recommendations? --evrik (talk) 00:53, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
- Vagueness can invite clicks – say, to find out how exactly she was important. So I wouldn't disqualify this hook. That said, if you can find a rework, that'd be helpful. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 07:35, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

- Interesting life on fine sources, mostly Estonian and accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed and a great illustration. The lead has the word independence twice, and I'd love to see that in a hook. Some may not know that Estonia had to struggle before being a country, evrik. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:29, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Alt1 ... that Alice Kuperjanov (pictured) was an important figure in founding the Estonian women's movement, and the fight for Estonian independence?
- @Gerda Arendt: made the changes. --evrik (talk) 22:44, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- thank you, and I prefer that solution! I would now normally strike the others for clarity, but it has been misunderstood. (For intending: please read the top of User talk:Drmies --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:15, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

@Gerda Arendt and Evrik: I cannot find the source that verifies that Kuperjanov was an important figure in Estonia's independence. While it is sourced very much in the article that she participated in the independence movement, an opinionated statement that she was important should be cited in the article (perhaps under a legacy section). Am I missing this reference in the article? Z1720 (talk) 16:38, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- --evrik (talk) 23:22, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Evrik: Sorry, I missed this when it was in my watchlist. I see the translation above and while the source says she initiated and developed the movement, it doesn't say she was influential (it is not to say that she isn't influential, because I think she is, but I can't put what I think into an article because that would be WP:OR.) Maybe something like:

- Thoughts? Z1720 (talk) 22:50, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Okay --evrik (talk) 01:21, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt:, as the reviewer, can you review ALT2 and post if it is approved? Thanks, Z1720 (talk) 14:24, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- I am interested and watching, and the idea works but the grammar not yet, - at least I haven't heard of a founder of a fight. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:29, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- ALT2a: ... that Alice Kuperjanov (pictured) was one of the founders of the Estonian women's movement and assisted in military activities for Estonian independence?
- @Evrik and Gerda Arendt: Thoughts? Z1720 (talk) 14:46, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- fine with me, but open for polishing from evrik. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:54, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
