Removal of content and correction to edit summaries[edit]

I stand by my removal of content to this article. Here's the diff of my initial content removal. The diff makes it look like I removed more content than I actually did, because part of my edit was just compacting. I honestly can't understand why the following content should be put back:

  • The fact that she spoke at a high school's sport awards (not *her* high school as I incorrectly said in my edit summary). Just because the local paper focuses on that (as it should, being a local paper) doesn't mean that Wikipedia, as an international encyclopedia, should do so ... it's frankly parochial. If she presented an award at a statewide competition, I'd understand, but not at a local high school.
  • Her coach receiving an OAM: that's not relevant to Quinn's career. It'd be much better to talk about her coach's achievements.
