His Profession[edit]

Frances Parkinson Keyes says in her novel The Chess Players that Alonzo Morphy, in addition to being a lawyer, was a slave auctioneer. Our article on her emphasizes the thoroughness of her research. Can this be looked into? J S Ayer (talk) 01:16, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is entirely possible. I didn't come across this information in writing the article, but then I was working rather quickly through a list of missing justices, and didn't give too much attention to getting any particular one started. BD2412 T 01:28, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
