Disclosure of potential conflict

[edit]

I would like to build out and make some improvements to this article. Purina is a client of my employer; any edits I make, I will make while carefully following WP:NOR, WP:SPAM, WP:NOT as well as WP:COI, while always keeping WP:PAID in mind. I wanted to add a note here, in order to be as transparent as possible. I would like editors to monitor my changes to the article, and review any work conducted on the page to make sure they are in line with Wikipedia’s standards. If you have any questions or concerns about the article, or my work in general, please feel free to post a note on my talk page. -- Thanks, Nanorlb (talk) 16:13, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a section to the page about Alpo's marketing, and I'm looking for some ideas on how to further build out the page. Also, I've pulled the ingredients section off the page; the sources used to source the section are not reliable (one is a commercial site, and the other is a Wiki), and the ingredients aren't really something that's unique to Alpo as compared to other dog foods. You can take a look at the old section here in case you want to review it: [1] Nanorlb (talk) 15:04, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Un-Cited Content

[edit]

The current Wikipedia page includes the following commentary:

"The industrial stench of the Alpo plant, however, caused numerous complaints by the people living in the area, as the New and Cedar street area was primarily row homes."

"Making light of consumers who pamper their dogs."

This content is either un-cited or not supported by the sources respectively. As I have a conflict of interest, I would like to ask another editor to consider removing these comments from the page. CorporateM (Talk) 21:09, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
