Membership Fees

[edit]

Hi folks, I am a new contributor and still getting the hang of things, so please be patient with me. In looking at the article on the Alta Club, there is some information on the fees that is incorrect. There is a citation but the citation is old (over ten years), and incorrect. I have provided the correct information from a close source, but do not have a citation, and I think that is why it was deleted. How can I provide the correct information without a source? Thanks! Twas I who reverted your edit. Time changes and stuff gets old, but as in the case of this article, when that stuff is tied to a reliable source, it shouldn't be changed without an equally reliable source that supports the new information. If you have a reliable and verifiable source, then go ahead and update the article and replace the City Weekly citation.
This edit, while very likely to be true, might be challenged. If it's challenged, the burden will be on you to prove that the statement is factual by supplying a reliable source to backup the statement.
Welcome to Wikipedia.
