better photo

Can we get a better photo that's not horrid and actually shows him? Chris 08:38, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

There is no mention of his frequent parts in "A Sharp Intake of Breath". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.45.17 (talk) 12:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

New Tricks is not so significant that it needs to be the first thing mentioned in every section

Seriously, guys - his filmography at the IMDB lists 123 credits in 4 decades. The guy has been in frikkin' everything, and if you were to describe him as one of the UK's most prolific jobbing actors then I'd believe you. He's been on the BBC so much that I'm sure everyone in the UK recognises him as "that guy" - I do and I don't even have a TV!

It does not make sense to mention the 2010 series New Tricks first in the Television section, when the next sentence is about the 1981 Yorkshire TV drama Get Lost! and the section then meanders through the 1980s and 1990s in chronological order. That first sentence in the the Television section needs hacking apart with a large knife - "here he was ... with whom he ... in which he" needs breaking down into more than one sentence.

I don't need another page on my watchlist, especially not a page about an actor in whom I have scarcely any interest, so I'm not going to make any edits myself. Someone who is watching this page needs to give the article some love, though.--Stroller (talk) 02:45, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

I've done some reorganizing and expanding. I used mainly chronological order for his roles though I grouped together his Dickens roles which he's noted for. Lizzie Nonesuch (talk) 12:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Citations

I've added citations to all the personal info in this article. Is that sufficient to remove the banner at the top or are more needed? Lizzie Nonesuch (talk) 12:48, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

I've removed the BLP Sources banner after adding extensive citations to this article. I consulted with the Help Desk and was told this was permitted. If there is anything that requires further citations let me know. Lizzie Nonesuch (talk) 00:56, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
