Clarification needed[edit]

Two points that need claification:

  • The article claims that she was the "She was the first female graduate" from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. (I changed the name of the institution from the "Stockholm Conservatory of Music", based on the Swedish article.) The Swedish article, however, claims that she was the first to graduate as a musikdirektör, which is a specific type of degree that qualified the graduate to lead a military music corps. I imagine that females before her may have graduated as, say, opera singers (if that existed as a specific degree). I don't know, but it needs to be clarified. The musikdirektör article should probably be written and the Royal College of Music article needs to be improved.
  • Another claim in the article is that her papers are kept in the "Stockholm State Library". No such library exists and it looks like an Americanism. I can imagine that it refers either to the Stockholms stadsbibliotek (Stockholm Public Library) or the Royal Library in Stockholm. Or possibly neither of these. The Ediffah index gives no hits for Amanda Maier or Amanda Röntgen. Ediffah indexes collections in a number of large Swedish libraries, but is not complete. Someone needs to check the physical catalogues.

The only source now is a blog. Better sources exist, see LIBRIS. --Hegvald (talk) 19:00, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
