Rather oddly, CricketArchive gives his name as Guramar Singh Virdi. There's do doubt that it's the same player, as he has the correct dob and is shown on the scorecard for today's Surrey match v Essex. I wonder if "Amar" could be a nickname? JH (talk page) 20:32, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've now checked in my copy of the 2017 Playfair Cricket Annual, which I should have thought of doing originally. It has him as: Virdi, Guramar Singh ('Amar'). So that seems fairly definitive.
