Conflict of interest[edit]

I originally created the page, and there is no reason to delete it due to "conflict of interest". I am in no way connected with the group, and this page was not created to serve as advertising or to give anyone undue notoriety.

Amber Asylum is a recognized, published musical group that deserves to be listed in Wikipedia, just as many other similar musical groups already have been. The group has been mentioned by name in numerous other Wikipedia articles for years now. If there is a particular criteria a musical group must meet before getting an article, then please tell me what that criteria is. Spejic 09:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The COI was not the only problem. Please read WP:MUSIC and WP:V. Cross references in Wikipedia articles have zero impact on establishing significance. Deiz talk 18:31, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Justification of Notability[edit]

Under Wikipedia:Notability (music), it says that a band is notable if it "has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels", and Amber Asylum has three under the notable Release/Relapse label and one under the notable Neurot Recordings label. A band is also notable if they have gone on a national tour, and Amber Asylum has effectively done that by going on a east coast regional tour with the notable artists Unto Ashes and Jarboe in 1995, and multiple concerts along the west coast throughout their history.

The recording labels are already part of the article. In what way does the article need to be changed to demonstrate the notability of the group? Spejic (talk) 10:28, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
