Unverified Claims

[edit]

I added the verification template, which is particularly aimed at the sentence, "She is also considered to be the most beautiful to have ever won the pageant" in the first paragraph. Obviously, beauty is subjective, but winning the Miss Universe pageant would satisfy most people's criteria for meeting a high standard in this area. But this sentence compares her to other winners of the same pageant, without appearing to be based on anything more than one editor's opinion. I was tempted to just delete it, but added the template instead. Darkstar8799 (talk) 16:21, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Amelia Vega's Height

[edit]

Amelia Vega's height is 5' 11" tall ( 182 cm.

[edit]

The "fan site" www.ameliavega.org is really a porn redirector disguised, not a fan site. Most of the links point to porn sites. It has a menu stating "Amelia Vega Friends >>> Natasha Henstridge Rochelle Loewen Adriana Volpe Elsa Benitez Aurora Robles" with links to similar pages on those persons, who have NO relation to Amelia Vega.

Since Amelia Vega has NOTHING to do with porn, and I'm sure she would not be happy of having a link to a porn site in her biography, I deleted the link.

Her real name

[edit]

According to an email received to OTRS (VRTS ticket # 2007112710014053) from her apparent official site, Vega's real name does not include "Victoria", and is simply "Amelia Vega Polanco". I have changed this article to match, and will set about ensuring articles in other languages are similarly updated. - Mark 10:27, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Basic information constantly misrepresented in this article

[edit]

  • What I think should be changed: I would like my page to be protected, so that not just anyone can edit my information.
  • Why it should be changed: I am asked to do interviews and other media obligations in my life, and they are constantly bringing up false facts about my life due to what they see on my Wikipedia page. They are constantly changing and adding false information about me which is effecting the different opportunities that I am doing in my life.
