2009 DOE funding[edit]

I have started a stub section (with one citation) on the recent commitment of DOE funds. Looks like $4.8M for superconducting cables (in that source). Here is one more source that indicates it includes "a grant for $7.6 million to develop advanced technology to restrict power surges and protect the grid", for a total of "$12.4M In Govt Smart-Grid Funds". Source: Wall Stree Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20090720-710741.html I will leave it for any other interested editor to update the section with more info.
