Please un-Merge[edit]

This article discusses two separately named species, in separate genera. Their synonymy is not consensus yet. As is the article talks a lot about their possible synonymy, but provides very little information about the species. What information is provided (dates, description, locations) is not specific so it's impossible to know which species the info refers to (in the case they are separate). Lumping them into one article was premature and is unnecessarily confusing, making much of the article useless. Please separate these into two separate articles. If the synonymy ever becomes settled consensus, then they can be merged. 2601:441:4900:A6E0:A99B:DF98:B1F2:83EA (talk) 21:50, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This article is still an incoherent, incomprehensible mess. There are also a lot of references to "Honey Lake" with no indication of where that is, and no context about why it matters. Is it the type location for one of these two species? Again, why were they merged when there's clearly no consensus about synonymizing them? 2601:441:5000:13E0:0:0:0:78AA (talk) 23:21, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
