Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (I want to create a page that discusses the beginnings of the cold chain industry and Americold is undoubtably part of that. If there are obvious ad-focused comments or phrases then I can delete them, no issue, as it's not supposed to advertise the company as much as state the company's history and contribution to temperature-controlled logistics - thanks!) --IceHouseDan (talk) 16:25, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I took a whack at editing out the obvious hype and leaving in all the pertinent facts. I'm not connected with Americold, but this seems to me to be a big enough global business to warrant an article. In fact, I originally came here looking for some background information on it. The original text appeared to be based mainly on company marketing copy, and I didn't have time to search out additional citations. However, with a little poking around, I'm sure most of the information here could be linked to general information sources that are bound to be out there.
