So I’ve made a bunch of alterations. Below are a list of some. The article now has plenty of room for more pictures in connection to the tales listed. It can now be used as a complement to John Bauer (illustrator). I will move on to that article in 24 hours and fix the pictures + add more facts.

  • This article should really be moved to “Among gnomes and trolls”.  Done - W.carter (talk) 19:10, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The first of the links at ’Bland tomtar och troll’ was dead. Replaced with working.
  • Some captions were wildly inaccurate, even on Wiki Commons. Stories and characters are totally mixed. Example: Tuvstarr and Bianca Maria is not the same person. They appear in two different stories. ‘The seven whishes’ is not in B t o t.
  • The names of the characters are a question. I have kept them in their original form since they are names, but the meaning of the names are part of the story, so maybe they should be translated.
  • No cites in the lede, and nothing there that is not mentioned in the text.
  • No links in the captions.
  • In captions about paintings: Title first, context, year.
  • Removed ‘peacock’ words like popular, replaced with noted.
  • Each year is represented by a picture appearing in one of the stories. Some more will have to be added.
  • The same pictures should not appear in both this article and the one about John Bauer. (Maybe with the exception of Tuvstarr.)
  • More tales needs to be verified to have been illustrated by Bauer. Done They all are. - W.carter (talk) 20:05, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

[edit]

Should the title "Bland tomtar och troll" really be translated? If there hasn't been any official translations, it looks like a neologism, and I think the original title should probably be the default title. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 21:37, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We might provide a translation, but avoid treating it as a title unless there is an official one.★Trekker (talk) 22:32, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
