[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Amberasamy.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

Keep the 'Amy Barlow' page from deletion

[edit]

Amy is an established character in Coronation Street. Like most other characters of the soap, Amy should have a wiki page. It has plenty of references and i am bulding it up. Thank you 78.148.131.227 (talk) 14:30, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It was fine in the list entry and atleast three other editors agree to. Consensus is to keep within the list because she is a non notable minor bit part.Rain the 1 14:49, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but Simon Barlow has a main page and he is the same age as Amy, Amy is a notable character played by a notable actress. 92.28.94.227 (talk) 16:10, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just because other stuff exists.. Simon having an article has little to do with this. Simon can actually hold a conversation and has won awards. The actress is certainly not notable - but you may wish to read over WP:PEOPLE to find out more info.Rain the 1 17:53, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The actresses are about as notable as I am. They all fall under WP:BIO1E, which is probably why they were redirected. If you hadn't of been blocked/sockpuppeted I would have advised you to work on a draft article in your userspace. Instead you're making things worse for yourself by evading your block. - JuneGloom Talk 18:37, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thats why the actress who plays Amy (Elle Mulvaney) has been nominated for two awards and can hold conversations if you are reffering to Amber Chadwick (Amy, 2006-10) who yes is about notable as we are, but Elle is a step up. 92.28.94.227 (talk) 08:12, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine in the list entry. GeorgePing! 08:15, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
IP: It is all to do with one minor role on Coronation Street - she may well be on the step above - but she is yet to reach the top of the stairs.. Her CV isn't exactly filled now is it.Rain the 1 14:51, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
'minor' a 'minor character' who has appeared in over 100 episodes and has plenty of lines i think youd call that a regular character.92.28.94.227 (talk) 16:38, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
