There's another Amy Cheng from Taiwan who's mentioned in a few Wikipedia articles on art, e.g. National pavilions at the Venice Biennale § Taiwan. She was born in 1970 rather than 1956, and she's an art critic rather than an artist. See her bio. I'm not sure she's notable enough for a Wikipedia article on her; I just want to make sure that nobody accidentally builds the Frankenstein. jlwoodwa (talk) 21:46, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

noted - thank you. This Amy Cheng is an American Artist. I am wondering though about common names and how that is handled in wikipedia as there are others as well. Goldwing33 (talk) 01:15, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good question. It's handled with disambiguation, and you've already done your part by putting (visual artist) in the title. Sorry if my note above was unclear – this isn't an issue with the article. I'm leaving a note in case someone else reads another article and comes across an unlinked mention of an Amy Cheng from Taiwan involved in visual art, so they know to check before linking. I nearly made that mistake myself while de-orphaning, and it took a little digging to figure it out, so I think it's worth leaving a note about. jlwoodwa (talk) 01:50, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for the clarification. I agree. Goldwing33 (talk) 02:07, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
