Thee

[edit]

The translation uses modern English, not the outdated "thee", so I reverted it back to "you".

Harf

[edit]

Whoever decided to translate Harf as "heart" made a mistake. I reverted it back to "harp", which is correct. Mugregg (talk) 18:19, 4 July 2008 (UTC)Mugregg[reply]

Reverting of my own edits

[edit]

Sorry, I wanted to copy the more technical parts for another article and pasted the lyrics in the wrong window. Vltava 68 08:25, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Work by other composers

[edit]

A number of composers -- several minor, some 21st-C -- have written settings of the poem or hommages to the Schubert. How to incorporate this information? How does one start a disambiguation page, if needed? Tgkohn (talk) 12:58, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What's going on with all the ß in the German text?

[edit]

Beßre? Entfloßen? Should all just be -ss-, not -ß-.--98.111.164.239 (talk) 00:13, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

1827

[edit]

It seems redundant to note with apparent surprise (“10 years after he composed it”) that he dedicated the work in 1827- the work was published in that year, and dedication often waits on publication. ELSchissel (talk) 12:44, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
