for the physicist and the layman[edit]

I'd love it you might be able to give the relationship between this invariant and torsion in physics. I took two semesters of topology, and I might be able to understand this if I spent two hours wikibrowsing and writing... but i don't wanna! SamuelRiv (talk) 17:34, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Todeay, I have add a bit of history about Reidemeister torsion.
