"She tried to stop the assassin, but was shot." AND "Russian law enforcement authorities declared that Baburova was shot in the back of her head." AND "Stanislav Markelov,who was the assassin's target."

Are woefully contradictory. If she was shot in the back of the head not only must she have been a target, but she could not have possibly been trying to stop the killer.

Please Translate

Can some of you who speak Russian translate some of the Russian article about Anastasia Baburova‎ and move it to the English Anastasia Baburova‎ page, I tried to do it with a translator website but I got a bunch of wierd sentences (In 2004 Anastasiya made a match for sokursnika on zhurfaku MGU Alexandra Frolova. Baburova and Frolov divorced in 2008.). A Personal life section is created by me and it would be nice if it would be filled with (other) stuff from the Russian wikipedia! Spasiba in advance ;)

The text I'm most interested in is here below:


Родилась 30 ноября 1983 в Севастополе (Украина). Отец — Эдуард Федорович Бабуров — профессор Севастопольского национального технического университета[1], мать — Лариса Ивановна — преподаватель Севастопольского университета ядерной энергии и промышленности[2].

Анастасия закончила севастопольскую спецшколу № 3 с углубленным изучением английского языка — наиболее авторитетную в городе школу[2] — с золотой медалью.[3] Помимо русского и украинского языков, которые она считала родными, она владела английским и французским языками[2].

Анастасия обучалась на пятом курсе вечернего отделения факультета журналистики МГУ[4] и планировала защитить диплом летом 2009 года.[2] До этого она получала приглашения на учёбу в МГИМО, МГУ и в Йельском университете[3], обучалась один год на факультете экономики и управления Черноморского филиал МГУ[5], затем полтора года — на факультете международного права МГИМО[2], откуда она ушла из-за того, что, по её словам, ей было «скучно учиться с этими людьми, представляющими золотую молодежь».[3]

Анастасия имела звание кандидата в мастера спорта по шахматам, занималась боевыми единоборствами, включая карате, боевое самбо, вин-чун, джиу-джитсу, кун-фу, рукопашный бой. Также занималась йогой и фехтованием, получила серебряную медаль по армрестлингу на соревновании студенток МГУ.[2][6]

В 2004 Анастасия вышла замуж за сокурсника по журфаку МГУ Александра Фролова. Бабурова и Фролов развелись в 2008 году.[3]

Anastasia Baburova was born on November 30, 1983, in Sevastopol. Her father is a professor at the Sevastopol National Technical University, and her mother is a lecturer at the Sevastopol National University of Nuclear Energy and Industry.
Baburova graduated with distinction from Sevastopol High School №3 with advanced studies of English, the most recognised high school of the city. She was native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian and also spoke English and French fluently.
Baburova was a fifth-year student of the MSU Faculty of Journalism. She was expected to obtain degree summer 2009. Before launching her jurnalism studies, Baburova had studied at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the MSU Black Sea branch. She also dropped out her international law studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. According to Baburova, 'she was bored to study with gilded youth'.
Baburova held title of Candidate for Master of Sports of Russia in chess. She also trained in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat.
In 2004, Baburova got married her university coursemate Alexander Frolov. They divorced in 2008.
