Reorganization of the article[edit]

We want to reorganize this article by creating new headings and subheadings for the information that is already on the page (as well as some new information). We can group conditions for crustal melting together under a "Conditions for crustal melting" heading, with more general subheadings, specifically "Temperature", "Pressure" and "Addition of volatiles" to discuss each of those conditions. We're still trying to sort out the exact layout for the rest of the article, but looking at having sections for melt extraction/segregation, melt transport, and melt emplacement. We think that the section named "'The Granite Problem' - where igneous and metamorphic petrology overlap" is confusing and doesn't fit well in the article, and therefore suggest removing it. --Dsilerova (talk) 17:30, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Photos/diagrams needed[edit]

This article could definitely use some photos/diagrams. We weren't able to find any really good ones, so if anyone has anything that they could add to the article, that would be fantastic! Maybe some photos from the field or a phase diagram illustrating the effect of different parameters on the solidus. --Dsilerova (talk) 19:40, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
