barium glass[edit]

I think that the barium glass information should be expanded into a separate article... as it has been mentioned that when the Han era barium glass production ended, so did Chinese Purple, which used the same ingredients. As this was based on the burial techniques of the time with jade and glass suits, it would be culturally distinct from the later glasses. 65.94.44.141 (talk) 15:52, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

There is no reason for the Warring States crystal glass article to exist on it's own. It is a very specific type of Chinese glass. The article isn't particularly long, so it fits right into this one. It will makes this article better while making sure the other article's contents get read more. The article was created in 2010 and still is incredibly short, if it was going to be made a standalone piece, I feel like that would have happenend already. • It looks like the Warring States crystal glass article is about a specific individual artifact, rather than a type of glass. I'm inclined to think it can be expanded with other sources, and that it would be too much detail about an individual artifact to cover in Ancient Chinese glass (an article about a pretty broad topic). —Mx. I get your concerns here; i feel like an "Objects of prominence" category could do well on this article without it being out of scope. For that to work there'd have to be more than one item merged though. BelgiumFury (talk) 15:43, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given the objection and no support; no support for the alternative proposal either, with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 08:28, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
