Credibility Issue

The only apparent reference is to a Wikisource article. I cannot find any reputable information about this person on an English language website. This article needs to be marked as dubious. 172.56.180.217 (talk) 03:30, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

According to Wikipedia:NOENG, non English sources are fine in English Wikipedia, so you may have to look in other languages.

The Wikisource article is actually a copy of an old Encyclopaedia Britannica article, so that looks ok to me.

Also check out the other language Wikipedia articles on this topic, eg the Dutch version has another source.

I am not saying this isn't a hoax, just that careful investigation is required before marking it dubious. Commander Keane (talk) 04:42, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
