Notability

[edit]

Andre Hallet's painting hang in the Louvre, and have hung in over 60 museums worldwide. As such, he is an internationally recognised painter.Nutsheller (talk) 16:04, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

The reference is listed at the bottom of the page as an external source. I disagree with the references tag placed by Collectonian. It is noted that Collectonian has posted unsubtantiated tags regarding related articles and has a biased perspective.Nutsheller (talk) 18:22, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again with the false accusations. Those are not references, its an EL as defined by Wikipedia. You want to use it as a source, do it properly. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 18:24, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Collectonian has removed the reference tag and placed a citation tag. Please justify the tag -- what is the difference between a citation and a reference?Nutsheller (talk) 18:36, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Huh? A reference and a citation is the same thing. Unreferenced said the article had none, refimprove says it needs more. I didn't remove anything, I changed the tag from saying the article was completely unsourced to say it needed some more sources. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 18:40, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So now there are four. And what is your definition of enough? I daresay you are probably learning a lot about the Hallets, the pygmies, and perhaps you will even read something about the two Congo Wars, the Rwanda genocide, and the origins of man (with origins in the Efe pygmies and the Bushmen of Southwest Africa.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nutsheller (talkcontribs) 14:05, July 12, 2008
All the strong claims have been referenced, so it is now enough for now. And no, having learned anything as I, of course, would never trust the writings of someone who would attack me as being a racist simply for questioning the notability of a topic he obviously has strong feelings for. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 19:09, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
