Incorrect Nomenclature

[edit]

"She also starred on JAG in Season 1 as Commander Allison Krennick and returned for an episode in Season 9 as Rear Admiral Upper Half Allison Krennick."

"Rear Admiral Upper Half" is incorrect. Members of the "upper half" of the Rear Admiral population are called simply "Rear Admirals." And yes, "Rear Admiral (Lower Half)" does sound dumb.

Do we have any documentation on the campaign against her during her stint at CNN? I remember the staffers there were extremely upset and that they were the ones who posted the nude photos, but I don't know if that was ever actually confirmed. Wellspring (talk) 12:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Other Acting Jobs

[edit]

I know she's had other acting jobs. Just today on Comedy Central, they played the movie Delirious and IMDB says she was cast as Nurse Helen Caldwell. I would update the article, but I am not entirely sure how to do so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.3.43.134 (talk) 11:51, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can click the "Edit this page" tab at the top of the article, and add that information, say, to the "Career" section. Putting it in chronological order with the other stuff would presumably be the way to go. Indicate in the Edit Summary field just below the Edit Field what your edit is, use the "Show Preview" button below that to preview your edit, and/or hit "Save page" to save it in the article. For a tutorial on editing and other ways to use WP, go here. And you can sign your Talk Page posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them. It is recommended that if you wish to continue editing on a more regular basis, you should sign in for an account. It's free, takes seconds, and allows you to remain anonymous from other editors. High School Dropout?

[edit]

In one section it says she "graduated from high school at age 16". In the CNN section it says they didn't like her because she was a high school dropout. Which is it? --68.101.195.234 (talk) 21:32, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why yes, yes it does. Since both references are properly sourced (sources checked, they do conflict on this matter of fact), you'll probably have to inquire with the sources to find out which is "correct". If you do find out the "truth" (as opposed to "verified" which is the WP way), come back and fix the article for us with your source(s). (Note, we like to use chronological order on Talk pages, see logical.) —Aladdin Sane (talk) 01:57, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Death?

[edit]

I've found a couple of reports that Andrea Thompson died in December 2009:

http://obits.nola.com/obituaries/nola/obituary.aspx?n=andrea-thompson&pid=137845918

This obituary has the right name and age for her, but does not describe her as an actress. Other pages (including her own site.) don't describe her death, but lack any info after 2008. I was going to update this page, but thought that the obituary might be a coincidence or hoax. Does anyone know for sure? Algr (talk) 08:44, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No!!

[edit]

Sweet Jeez! 1. The age is not correct - in Dec of '09 she was 49, not 40. 2. Why would she be a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars? Not that she couldn't, but I don't recall ever seeing a reference to that anywhere. 3. Why would she suddenly be in New Orleans? 4. There are dozens of women with the name Andrea Thompson, and before you now come up with the idea that she's switched jobs and currently writes as a science journalist, that's not her either. 5. Don't you think that between Dec and April, SOMEBODY from the entertainment industry would've bothered to make a statement? 6. She is listed on the imdb, and those folks usually get updates about actors' deaths. My goodness - I'm sure she's somewhere, happy and alive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.6.196.227 (talk) 21:09, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Appears to contain contradictory information

[edit]

Appears to contain contradictory information. The (Early life) phrase "she graduated from high school at 16" may contradict the later (Journalism career) phrase "by earning her GED." Since only individuals not earning a high school diploma may take the GED tests, one phrase or the other must be incorrect. I have not been able to verify either phrase.
