development here vs. Andrew Berg article[edit]

Hey, the fact that this article was split out of the Andrew Berg article was complained about, in a side comment, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/South Portland Historic District. Perhaps what is disliked is how the split was done, i.e. by removing stuff from the Berg article and pasting it here, without a lot more added. Offhand, it seems to me that:

  1. this article should be developed more to be better justified as a separate article about the one cabin which is NRHP-listed (though it should mention other ones), and
  2. the general text about Andrew Berg having built multiple cabins should be restored to the Andrew Berg article (though it should link to this article now about this one cabin).

I will proceed a bit to address both of those points, and would welcome help. User:RadioKAOS, I hope this will address your concern. User:Arch2all, I hope you will help develop this a bit more, and will be aware that at least some editors are sometimes not appreciating very minimal articles (topic of that AFD). However, I have little doubt that this is a notable topic, and there are advantage in having the cabin being a separate article including that suitable categories can be used. I think the best way forward is just to develop this more. Thanks. --Doncram (talk) 00:11, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Questions: This article currently states "He built his first [cabin], which served as his home, in 1902", but I don't see an assertion of "first" in the NRHP document or other source given there, so is that "first" correct? He came to the area in the 1890s, why would he not have built others? But I don't see discussion in source about the 11 cabins he built, where the list might be itemized. And, where is it stated that this is his home, I presume what is meant is this is his principal home, and from when to when did it serve that way? --Doncram (talk) 00:38, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
