Video links[edit]

I have removed most of the video links in the external links section as they don't seem relevant to Surmani himself and don't add anything to the article, as outlined in WP:LINKFARM. I have left one about Alfred Music Publishing as it seems more relevant but if someone wants to remove that one as well I wouldn't object. The article also needed reliable secondary sources, as at the moment the only references are to profiles on sites directly connected to him. Sarahj2107 (talk) 10:41, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization of job titles[edit]

@Sushiyum: You may not be aware of Wikipedia's guidelines on capitalization, naming and abbreviation. Please see MOS:JOBTITLES, MOS:ACRO1STUSE, MOS:SURNAME and MOS:&. Highlights of these guidelines are: "Offices, titles, and positions such as president, king, emperor, grand duke, lord mayor, pope, bishop, abbot, prime minister, chief financial officer, and executive director are common nouns and therefore should be in lower case when used generically", "Generally speaking, subjects should not otherwise be referred to by their given name", "Wikipedia does not use USA, except in proper names and in standardized codes" and "In normal text and headings, use and instead of the ampersand (&)".

Wikipedia strives for a neutral, formal and encyclopedic tone: not too casual and familiar, and not too fawning and reverential. Your overturning of my edits runs counter to all of the above guidelines. In Wikipedia, it is generally recommended to capitalize only the first word of a sentence and any proper nouns.
