Which PHOTO to use for main (infobox) image?
[edit]I just edited Andrey Kashechkin to include an image in the infobox, and it's of him in Astana team colors, but is a six-year old image! There are, I think, five images of "Kash" in wikimedia commons we could draw on: the one Astana shot and then four Lampre pics. The Lampre ones are much nicer and higher-resolution, but of course Kash no ride for dem nomore! So what's consensus: should be use the old Astana image, or a nicer, newer Lampre image, even though he's not on Lampre anymore?
-
This is my preferred infobox image of Kash
-
The only Astana-image of Kash I found in WMC, but old...
-
This is another Lampre image of Kash

- If we could crop the left most one perhaps? Severo (talk) 17:46, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- OK, crop the left-most image, I'd be fine with that. Would the cropped image be uploaded as a new version of the original image, or would it be uploaded to commons to replace the original? I am not familiar w/ that protocol and do not want to mess-up. Thanks. Azx2 18:05, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
- A new file under the terms of CC BY-SA 2.0 FR which gives permission to adapt or remix the work providing there's attribution back to the original (we would link on Commons and write who the original was by) and share on the same basis. Severo (talk) 18:57, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ongoing feedback, Severo. I created and uploaded a new image as a cropped version of the one in question, and hope I addressed everything appropriately. I will add it to the article here now. Cheers. Azx2 22:25, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
