Vanity Fair, instead?

[edit]

{{helpme}}

I was wondering if this page should link to the Vanity Fair movie article instead of linking to the list of HP characters. This actress has an actual speaking role in VF, unlike in Harry Potter.

I'd much rather someone more familiar with the Wiki Rules to do the change if it is correct. kkarma (talk) 22:04, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps. It depends which topic people are mostly likely to want if they search for her. I was going to suggest that if she has two good links she's notable enough for her own article, but then I found Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Angelica Mandy. Oh, well. A couple of other thoughts: It's a pity that our determination that she isn't notable enough for her own article forces us to choose between two good redirection targets. Give that the article exists after AFD, the AFD ought to have been mentioned on this talk page. Bovlb (talk) 19:18, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I took the liberty of adding a Category:Redirects from people tag to this redirect. I believe the intent of this category is to alert editors to create biographies as subjects become more notable. As for a short term solution, I think it's best to redirect to the most notable role, which is probably Harry Potter even though it was minor. Perhaps linking to Weasley family#Gabrielle Delacour would be even better since it has a photo? Hoof Hearted (talk) 20:48, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Official website"

[edit]

http://angelicamandy.celebfans.net/

IS not her official website, it is a fansite aka run by a fan and not the actress herself and is in direct violation of WP:ADVERT Pro66 (talk) 22:44, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What would make it an official website? Mandy has contact with the owners and gives them information/pictures. What else would they need? Duchess of Bathwick (talk · contribs) 02:03, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"What would make it an official website?" Well for starters the owners wouldn't call it a fansite and for the website to be an official one it must be owned by her or her agents or somewhere on those lines but not by her fans (Fansites are owned and run by fans) otherwise it will come across as advertising regardless of what contact they may have with her. That is why i have removed it coz it is a self-proclaimed fansite and not an official website. Pro66 (talk) 21:57, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, fair enough. Duchess of Bathwick (talk · contribs) 00:10, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
