Anil (given name)Anil (name) – I'm starting this RM only to test the new settings for the article alerts of Wikiproject Anthroponymy. Please don't add the project banner yet. I'm planning to move the page anyway, as there does appear to be at least one person (P. Anil) where it's used as a surname. Uanfala (talk) 10:28, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • You seem to be unaware of the South Indian naming system. Its actually a fairly commom mistake. The name P. Anil means Anil is the given name and P (whatever that is) is the family name. Example of this fact - the cricketer Dinesh Karthik whose given name is Karthik and family name is Dinesh. 113.199.161.79 (talk) 19:05, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, I should have thought twice. Thank you for pointing this out! I'm withdrawing the requested move now. Uanfala (talk) 20:37, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
