Reduced to stub-class. If it's a stub, it can't be start-class. --Coredesat talk. ^_^ 06:31, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Attendance figures

[edit]

I noticed on the Administrator' noticeboard that there is a dispute about the attendance figures. It appears that there are actually two figures for total attendance: one figure for paid attendees, and the other figure for "warm" bodies (i.e. those who didn't pay, but managed to get in).

I do think that it's a little misleading to have an attendance figure without at least explaining that there are two sets of attendance counts. Could we not list both in the table, with an explanation of what both the figures mean? - Letsbefiends (talk) 04:17, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Usually this isn't done, some larger articles such as Otakon and Anime Expo are the few that do something similar, but it could be done with some sort of note tag or marking them in parentheses. You might have misunderstood the original dispute, it was the attendance numbers were un-sourced and couldn't be verified, were being edited, threats were made, leading to the conflict. Ironically Animecons.com which is considered an Wikipedia:WikiProject Anime and manga/Online reliable sources has been updated with attendance numbers, but with the table deleted (Which I don’t agree with) I’m not sure this is going to happen. Animecons.com

[edit]

The problem I see with this article is Animecons.com which is a user submitted info site and therefore unreliable. To add the Event history the guests need to have an additional source for them such as ANN which I did see info there. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 00:52, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
