Lead sentence

Though normally I would be bold, since I figure this is a sensitive topic I'll propose here first.

The lead sentence currently says

23 February 1982) is a Russian national who also gained British citizenship by marriage.

This is rather vague as a lead. I'd propose that the whole lead paragraph change to something more like the following:

23 February 1982) is a Russian intelligence agent, media personality, and model who gained notoriety after being arrested in the United States as part of the Illegals Program spy ring. At the time of her arrest she was accused of espionage on behalf of the Russian Federation's external intelligence agency, the SVR (Sluzhba Vneshney Razvedki). She had previously gained British citizenship though marriage (since revoked) and used this to gain residency in the U.S. Following her return to Russia she was awarded highest honors by the Russian government and hailed as a national hero.
