If someone has time, please make a filmography for Mount. Michael 21:42, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

Somebody needs to find out where he really was born and correct this article, which currently says he was born in both Prospect Heights IL and White Bluff TN. I knows he considers TN his home, but since his father was/is a sportswriter and his mother a pro golfer, he could have been born anywhere. Googling his bio turns up what looks like a cut-and-paste circus. The only source that looks halfway authoritative is called All American Speakers Bureau (http://www.allamericanspeakers.com/speakers/Anson-Mount/2601), which claims to represent him as a motivational speaker. They give the IL birthplace. All American Speakers Bureau appears to be a legitimate company with offices in NYC and headquarters in Durham NC, with BBB accreditation in NC as well. I'm going to assume they know what they're talking about and correct the TN entry to IL.Jim10701 (talk) 23:27, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb says he was born in White Bluff, Tennessee. I'm editing the main article to reflect this. Feel free to correct formatting if necessary. Cousert (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 19:32, 16 November 2022‎ (UTC)[reply]
@Cousert: IMDb is not a reliable source. See WP:IMDB. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 19:34, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled

[edit]

Did the author copy-and-paste this out of a tabloid or something?

-- Made a few minor corrections: changed the Conviction link from the legal term to the actual television show and corrected the role Anson is playing from "Hernan" to "Deputy DA (DDA) Jim Steele." (Gwyn)

Name

[edit]

This man is widely known as "Anson Mount, Jr." This is because that, of the male members of the family, only his father and he are widely known, the same reason that Desi Arnaz was generally known as that, and not as Desidero Arnaz III and his son (Desidero IV) is generally known as Desi Arnaz, Jr. 2600:1004:B109:38BB:B97C:101D:C9DC:E618 (talk) 01:19, 15 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Inhumans conviently left out?

[edit]

For such a well structured and lauding article, it is curious how the much critized and quickly cancelled TV show "Inhumans" is not mentioned in its appropriate sections. As praised as Mount's contribution to Star Trek: Discovery was, it is contemporary with the ridicule of the Inhumans failure.

His father and brother have the same name he does?

[edit]

Okay, his name is Anson Mount. His father is Anson Adams Mount, III. And somehow he had an older brother named Anson Adams?

Can someone explain this? 67.180.130.166 (talk) 03:15, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

His father is Anson Adams Mount II (another IP changed it to "III", but the source states "II"), and his brother is Anson Adams Mount III, so he is IV. It's unusual, but it happens sometimes. BilCat (talk) 03:33, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
