Regarding his birthplace

[edit]

Sopron was the county seat of Sopron county in the historical Kingdom of Hungary and the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary for a very long time; using 'Ödenburg' as the name of his birthplace is incorrect, because the town has been officially called 'Sopron' for several centuries, with the exception of a few months in 1919 when it was awarded to Austria by the Treaty of Saint-Germain and later that year returned to the Republic of Hungary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.132.187.179 (talk) 17:08, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is right, corrected. Anyway, also during Austria-Hungary it was stricly part of Hungary as the monarchy was only a union of two separate states with some joint institutions.(KIENGIR (talk) 02:25, 10 June 2018 (UTC))[reply]
