Considering that Antalas was an ally of the byzantines, from the fall of the Vandal Kingdom to 543 (year when broke out the berber's rebellion), and also considering that he headed his own armies, is there any problem categorize him, for example, in Category:Byzantine rebels and Category:Byzantine generals? In the same way, I suppose that it's correct because if you take as example the case of the armenians, you see that most of them were not byzantines by blood, just by living in the same boundaries.--Renato de carvalho ferreira (talk) 23:27, 2 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Berbers were more allies than subjects, since they were vassal rulers who headed their own forces, not Byzantine regular troops. AFAIK they were never integrated into the Byzantine military to the extent that the Armenians were. Constantine 05:31, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
