field report[edit]

I was at the border on 2013-07-06 for several hours waiting for the arrival of a few bike riders. The new 5000-square-foot border inspection station^[1] appears to have been finished at least a year ago. It is gradually being consumed by the desert. There was a delay in getting power to it but that was done in January. It remains unused. Look at any satellite view of Antelope Wells and you'll see the new border station. The US border guards are very nice and reasonable. We did not make it as far as the Mexico border guards. They appeared much more militaristic. -- Davidhaile 12:04, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(sounds cooler than 'distinguish') Right now there's a lot of duplicated material with Antelope Wells, New Mexico. Hopefully that can be gradually resolved. Arlo James Barnes 21:16, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
